Xiaomi, the Chinese juggernaut which has made high
quality smartphone available to people at a low price, is again in the news
with its Note 7S. Given the launch and success of the Redmi Note 7 and Redmi
Note 7 Pro, we were quite intrigued as to why it would come out with a new
launch so close on its heels. Following the reveal of the new phone, it seems
that Xiaomi was eager to launch a few features that were lacking in the
previous models. Let us take a look at the first impressions and how they
compare with the previous Note 7 models:
The
all new Redmi Note 7S looks exactly the same as its predecessors except
the gradient
finish at the back, which is a new
addition to this model. This phone continues to use the same logo and has the
look and feel of a premium quality smartphone.
The
phone feels just the right amount of heavy to come across as classy but not so
heavy that it seems inconvenient to carry around. The body is coated with P2i Nano coating which makes it splash-proof and sturdy enough
for rough use. The screen is great with high quality colour reproduction and is
bright enough to be visible under direct sunlight.
Upon
laying our eyes on the 48
MP primary rear camera, we understood why
Xiaomi went ahead with this new launch. It has a brilliant Samsung ISOCELL Bright GM1 sensor and a 5-megapixel secondary sensor which
is sure to take your photography game to another level. On the front, the Redmi
Note 7S has the same 13-megapixel selfie shooter as its predecessors and turns
out perfect selfies even in less than perfect lighting conditions.
Powered
by the octa-core Qualcomm
Snapdragon 660 SoC, this Note 7S is quite fast and
responsive, in fact a tad bit more than the Note 7. It is also equipped with a
rear fingerprint sensor, a USB Type-C port, a hybrid dual-SIM tray, an IR
blaster, and 4G LTE support and AI Face Unlock. The battery is powerful at
4,000mAh, which makes the phone totally worth its price point.
Overall, if you have been considering replacing your
old smartphone for a while now and have a thing for photography, we would
totally recommend the Note 7S to you.
